  • Can prevent pregnancy, but will NOT harm or interfere with an existing pregnancy

  • EC is NOT abortion

  • EC Inhibits ovulation to prevent fertilization

  • Women age 14-16 may purchase EC confidentially from a trained pharmacist.

  • A prescription is required for Medicaid to pay drug cost
